People who think Ali would be able to compete with the tall-superheavyweights

    The Wlad fight showed for a second time that Joshua has no gas tank. We still haven't seen Joshua fight a guy with mobility. Wlad hits hard, but is as robotic and lumbering as you can get. Whyte on the other hand is at least 20lbs heavier than he should be, which is why when he rocked Joshua he ran out of gas. Whyte is 1 inch taller than Ali, but lacks the boxing talent, athleticism, and stamina that Ali had and is too heavy to be effective. Ali would actually do better fighting in this era.

    I could see plenty of fighters before Ali's time doing well in the modern era.

    The heavies today are so freaking unskilled and unpolished... you have to be a dope to think the past greats with ample skills could not compete today.

    It depends, Vitali Klitschko would be pure hell for Ali...................although Ali is perhaps the greatest heavyweight of all time.....................

    i cant see how Ali wins. Tall lean back fighter that's stronger. Be a horrible fight to watch imo

    None of those guys are 7`2 with a 90inch wingspan. Ali would do fine against big hws. Of course he wouldnt beat them all but his skill speed and movement would help deal with the size disadvantage.

    If Aleksander Povetkin (6ft2) is competitive at the highest levels then Ali at 6,3 will have no problems due to his height. I do agree that the modern SHW are better than those of old though.

    he crippled lots of people with height advantages. All of them in fact.

    but heyho lets just argue thats not the factual case for the sake of showing how desperate we are to plug todays gassing fatties.

    I posted something on this subject a few weeks ago! Ali was a few inches shorter, but his reach was just 2 to 3 inches shorter than Joshua, Fury and Wlad. I think his speed and movement nullifies a lot of the height advantages. Not saying he wins, but doesn't get dominated like you think.
