How would you compare and contrast their promotion and development since say 2012?

There's only so much you can do with Wilder. He just doesn't have a fanbase and isn't popular and his actions do nothing to remedy this.

It was laughable trying to hear him commentate on the UK cast of the Joshua/Wlad fight, the guy can barely string a sentence together.

Let's be honest here, both promoters have not done a good job.

The guy disgraced the sport on broadcast television with this garbage...how do you sell this to a country that still isn't over Mike Tyson?

Golovkin has headlined PPVs, is an HBO star, regularly performs well in major arenas, and is set to be in the biggest fight of the year.

Wilder is barely known here outside of his home state.

And that is because Golovkin is fighting top contenders with name recognition, while Wilders team is doing the opposite.

Hay on only manages the deal making... his promoter doesn't do a good job of getting his name out... ggg is fine... he is a worldwide brand...

If he had a basketball in his hand that could have been a good windmill dunk!

Loeffler has thrown GGG to the wolves, that damn hard-hearted bastich.

Haymon has been gentle with Wilder and protected him from all the scary monsters in the HW division.

    Haymon is clearly better. :sisi3:

If you can make someone like Wilder even remotely relevant, you did better as getting a huge talent like Golovkin a 15M+ payday.

It's what you have to work with that makes the difference.

Wilder's a joke and not relevant and yet you think that is good?

No. GGG. Sells more and he is still working on the language. Damn no! Haymons job has been to avoid him a real test!

For him this is probably close to the ceiling he could possibly reach.
If he had been promoted and matched differently, there's a good chance nobody today would even think about him, let alone we having this conversation in this thread.
