Yeah must be, there's no way to give Haskins 118. With the two 10-8 rounds even if he won every other the most you can give him is 116.
Obviously he has the two fighters mixed up. He had the exact same score as me, only to the wrong fighter. To mix up a scorecard like that at this level is a joke.
British UD? It was an American judge who either a) Seriously thought Haskins had it or, is b) Seriously thick
I don't know but he can't score it for Haskins unless he is under strict instruction to do it or if he benefits from it. This is a pro judge, not a guy picked from the street. My gran would have knew Burnett won that with ease. It's not incompetence.
Just got the latest on the scorecard mix up "I'm sorry, I got confused, the scorecard was written in English and not American". - American Judge
I hope it's not a fix, hope it's just Sammartino writing the scores the wrong way around or thinking Haskins was in the red trunks. Because, as you say, it's well beyond incompetence.
What I meant was, gaining an screwy SD in Britain is pretty much akin to a moral UD. Very much like the old adage of away fighters having to stop a German fighter in Germany just to gain a draw. At least the other two judges acquiesced to common sense.
Nah the guys a legend. You just know at the start of the night he was thinking "Damn, this is a Eddie Hearn show, how can I be the ultimate troll"? Genius imo.
But both fighters were British? And it was the home fighter, backed by the house promoter, who found himself on the end of a shocking scorecard. I understand your point, but i'm not really sure it is relevant here.
