Why is Amir Khan fighting so much in Bolton? I thought he was a superstar?

I'm from Bolton and outside of the local paper he isn't very well liked even in his own community, well at least that's the impression I get.

Saw the thread title and thought; Khan is fighting much? Since when?!

 

Jealously.

Just take his license away before he ends up killing someone though, he's been a numerous amount of incidents related to driving.

 

I think Khan is retired, waiting for a last fight with Brook if Brook makes a come back............Khan is finished. Virgin Hunter said that he trained Khan to beat El Pollo, that Khan would beat El Pollo, but he was wrong...........

 

Amir Khan has a tiny little head. Everyone knows this and they are targeting him now. His Chin is not made to fight at elite level. I HOPE yall are right that he is retired, but if he dare come back it better be against Kell. Or trying to avenge his losses. Nothing else left to embarass himself with.

 

It's very easy to assume Khan is in the wrong, when really there are some weirdos out there who try to make trouble. Khan gets involved in an altercation - let's immediately assume he's the aggressor.
The level of hate towards Khan is unlike I've ever seen on this forum.

 

Why do you continuously defend Khan every time there is negative press about him?

He's treated his own fans with disdain, the guy deserves everything he gets.

 

Why do you continuously make it a point to comment in hate of Khan at every single opportunity to the extent that even your pic is a hate image of Khan?

When did he treat his own fans with disdain? Sometimes 'fans' are not really 'fans', and sometimes 'fans' can go to excesses. Even on lesser forms, sometimes 'fans' think they're entitled to good manners from their self-made 'god' - they need to back off and respect another human beings personal space - Khan or any celeb isn't the mental image one conjures up in their minds, leave him be and stop being a needy leech.

When I think of Khan, I think of the guy who gives a lot to charity and is immature in other areas and has a pretty annoying personality but always has the view at least, to better himself.

 

He's kind of disliked by paks now as he couldn't control his family affairs and aired it out over the media.

 

Khan is a Glass Jawed fraud who's entire career has been handed to him on a silver platter. He was given big fights since day one because ethnicity/background, nothing to do with his SILVER medal.

He's the most delusional fighter in boxing, and he stick his middle finger up to his own fans by denying them the fight they most wanted to see because of his ego and delusion. He's not even liked in his home town for god sake.

Ethnicity does come into it because British Asians haven't had many sporting stars - the last one being Nasser Hussain BUT Amir Khan was a real blue chip prospect the way an Oscar De La Hoya was. Amir was only 17 years old, looked simply UNBELIEVABLE against top, top amateurs en-route to Mario Kindelan who he was obviously going to lose to as Kindelan was a TBE level fighter.

It's a double-edged sword - he's hated also because of his ethnicity - he identifies as a muslim, too - a certain demographic, most represented here as 'EE trolls' in particular, have been hating on him since the start.

He thus earned the 'silver' platter. His skills led him to become a two-time (robbed from three time) world champion which isn't bad for a 'glass jaw fraud' - your hate for him is not coming from him getting things on a 'silver platter' - there's another reason why you hate him. He went through all sorts to improve his game as he just didn't have the smarts nor the style to make for a great 12 round fighter - yet he still tried, until he started a family and felt that there's more to life than boxing.

Amir Khan has been past his prime FOR YEARS, he doesn't owe a fight against a then prime Brook - you definitely don't have this level of hate because he didn't fight Brook. His name was made well before Brook - Brook was demanding 50:50 before he was actually worth a figure in that ballpark and this is undebatable. Now that they're both past prime, it's on even terms and I OFFICIALLY want to see it more than ever.

For all of the good things he's done with charity work and a general role model for troubled youth, it definitely doesn't make sense for someone to have this intense of a dislike for him on the basis of not making a fight with Brook.

Yes - you quoted someone who is a fighter for a living and was ATTACKED by a NUMBER OF MEN, of course he's going to be very angry. You can hate on Amir all you want, but a two/three time world champion who can put a beating on very good welterweights especially in the first 9 minutes of a fight, whilst he walks around at 180lbs IS a human weapon.

Sergey Kovalev got into a fight with 10 men, knocked out 4 of them when he could've ran away.

I'm not trying to excuse everything he does, I find him an annoying personality and think he has a low ring IQ in the ring, but when all things are said and done, in this crook sport, this level of hate is not justified. Look at the posts whenever he's being mocked, it's disgusting.

We don't know the circumstances in which these events occurred. Amir Khan has a lot of haters who want to cause trouble. This thread alone is just a testament to that. Amir Khan hate drives people to crazy lengths.
