The WBC will probably slither in with some "Champion of Combat Sports" made up trinket to try to get some shine, like the WBO did with their "Champion of the Decade" belt for Pacquiao-Marquez IV.

I think everyone can see it for what it is. An exhibition fight with a fun build up but a boringly one sided 'fight'

impossible for mayweather to make this close, it'll damage his TBE status and make him look pathetic. He'd have to pull all his punches and put no power into shots. No way he can do that for 12 rounds

Honestly, anyone who thinks Mayweathers 'feather fists' mean this fight goes the distance or even into the second half, is going to be in for a big, big shock. McGregor is going to battered and stopped easily and early. Even if he turns out to have a granite chin, he's going to be getting hit over and over again, flush on the target with shots he doesn't see coming most of the time. So if he's still on his feet after a couple of rounds the ref or his corner will have to step in and save him.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Mcgregor got disqualified for doing a roundhouse kick or something just purely out of instinct.

If McGregor were to KO Mayweather, it'd be the funniest thing ever. The problem is, McGregor is an ******* himself, basically the Floyd of MMA. He's only more tolerable because he's not awkward like Floyd.

I wish it ended in a double KO. But we all know Floyd is going to school him. If Floyd doesn't KO him, he should be ashamed of himself. If he runs from McGregor, it'd just be embarrassing to be honest. He should make a statement, this isn't even a pro boxer FFS.

On here yes, not to general people though. I've just been talking to lads who were talking about putting £100 on McGregor at 7/1. I would be willing to bet my bank account they don't know anything about Mayweather, never mind watched him fight. I said I wouldn't even do it if it was 70/1.

Call me crazy but there is some freaky aura about this guy. Everything he has said he would do has happened. He's a dangerous man, maybe not a dangerous boxer but a dangerous man. Every guy he touches gets iced. Floyd might be in trouble.

I don't even think mayweather can pretend to make this close, it would be so obvious. He'd have to literally do none of the things he usually does and just stand there with a high guard letting mcgregor hit him. Floyds actual style isn't one I can see working in terms of pretending to make someone look competitive with him, because either he tries to block/parry a shot & counter or he doesn't try at all.

Who knows though, anything could happen with this circus. I'm half expecting mcgregor to be so frustrated that he tries to land a kick shortly followed by both teams invading the ring in an all out war with chokeslams, steel chairs & JR screaming "GOD ALMIGHTY!" From Ringside.

Tell them Mayweather to get the (T)KO at evens is buying money.
