Jacobs to me is still an enigma. I'm honestly not sure where to rate him currently. He gave Golovkin his toughest fight, but also got knocked out by Pirog, dropped by Mora and didn't look great vs Caleb Truax. He stopped Quillin in one round which is his biggest (and honestly only) good win, but you could easily argue that the fight was stopped prematurely. The 3 name opponents Jacobs has fought he lost 2 of them. Do I think that he could be the 2nd best MW in the world right now? Yes. Do I think that he has proved that with his wins? No.
Solid point. I just think I know more about Groves than Jacobs so I'm uncomfortable with making a decision on this.
Okay, I have an answer. Groves by KO, Groves' chin isn't that bad, and while Jacobs has serious power at MW, who's to say it'll carry up to SMW, he could be an AA type, the predator Groves of the 1st Froch match is the version he'll be in against, and while I don't think Groves has as much power as GGG, he's very accurate and throws excellent an straight right, which Jacobs chin seems to be more susceptible to, most of the times he's been hurt its from straight shots or overhands, which aren't necessarily GGG's primo shots. So I think Groves lands on the button and puts The Miracle Man to sleep.
