The fight is very close to being immoral.

Lockett has NO chance. He does not deserve to be a mandatory for the title, he isn't worthy of even a top 20 ranking.

I see the fight ending quickly due to the ref stopping it or that little freak Enzo running into the ring.

If it goes beyond :30 - 1:30 of the 1st round it will be shocking.

 

When it is HIS boy in their with Kelly, he will be over at the table ringing the bell.

 

good points. i will never overlook anyone but all the common sense and numbers point to pavlik in this fight. u never know but i think its gonna be pavlik KO in 5

Both fighters are poor.

 

I had a weird dream that Lockett actually won, at 9/1 im tempted to have a small bet, but in reality i can see a mid round KO from pavlik.

 

After watching some of Lockett's fights I can say I really like his style. He has a very fan-friendly way about his approach.

But this will be his downfall against Pavlik. Pavlik is very similar and is just bigger and stronger. With both guys setting their feet it will be Lockett finding himself off balance trying to reach Pavlik. And Pavlik will still be set, throwing hard punches.

I can see Pavlik getting the stoppage in less than 5.

 

Mid round KO by Pavlik seems the most likely outcome but it could still be an entertaining fight while it lasts? Hope Lockett takes his chance and gives it everything he has got. You cannot dislike Pavlik though, boxing needs more guys like him.

How on earth do you see Lockett lasting that long? He is slower than Pavlik, has less power, a worse jab, likes to stand right in the mix and trade and has never fought at even close to the level Pavlik has mixed at.

Pavlik should have him out of there inside 2.

 

Let's be fair, the absolute best coughsweet can hope for is that he doesn't get hammered. A decent, aggressive showing and a mid to late stoppage will set him up for a few mid-card showings in the US and possibly a shot at one of the lesser titles in a while if Kelly doesn't tie them up.
I'd love to back the local boy but unless Pavlik takes his eye off this one due to all the Calzaghe hype (and I can't see it) it's in the bag.
