Jay Z will fall flat on his face as a promoter

    The guy is overpaying the boxers he signed up. First of all he had Cotto and although Cotto definitely has a fan base paying him the sums of 10-20 million a fight was insanity. Jay Z had to have lost significant money from that. Luckily he was wise enough to dump Cotto.

    Secondly, now he is overpaying Andre Ward. He pays him around 5 million a fight, for this rematch Ward is getting 6.5 million guaranteed. Ward is not a star though and never will be. He cant sell. I don't care who you had winning the first Kovalev fight nor who will win the rematch, none of that matters in regards to his marketability and ratings. Ward cant sell and never will be able to with that dull style. The first fight only did 150K buys and the promoters lost big money. The rematch wont do very well either. Jay Z will lose even more money.

    You can make money promoting Cotto paying him 1 million and paying Ward around 200-300K. You cant make money paying them the astronomical rates he was.

    He also tried overpaying Broner as well but Adrien was stupid enough not to take it (luckily for Jay Z as Broner cant sell very well either).

    Just as 50 cent went bankrupt promoting, Jay Z is next.

    The Rap game is different from the fight game. Why do these Rappers think they can go into boxing and make money? On the flip side.. Roy Jones and Floyd tried rapping and didn't do to well and lost money. Stay in your lane guys.:nonono

    The Boxing promoting helps these middle class billionaire mansion dwelling black rappers to continue with the fake tough guy act.

    Jay Z is about as beta, and mangina fake as they come, so clearly the boxing promotion is needed. It doesnt stop the yoof from buying his fake gangster music and this just boosts his circus act.

    It doesn't sound like you know or listen to Jay Z at all..lol You sound like those guys who thinks all rap is "gangster rap", which barely a thing anymore..lol This not the 90s anymore...

    And middle class millionaire? Him and B are worth a billion...

    I have heard Jay Z and he does the thug act, but a lot of his lyrics are also mangina beta male supplication to women. No doubt brought on by the fact he thinks he has landed the Prime Vag in Showbusiness, who is different from those other "Bishes".

    All women in showbusiness are whores son, yours is nothing special. She is not yours son, its just your turn. Now snap out of it.

    After the fight if Ward keeps fighting he is going to Uncle bob Arum and also leaving HBO, That is the word on the street.

    I dont thik he will go 'bankrupt' as he does have alot of money but his boxing promoting company will def. go bust like 50 cent and soon to be haymon. dumping cotto was a sign.

    Ward is his only fighter now and he is taking a beating on financial losses so far with him no doubt at those kind of salaries. Ward 6.5 million are you kidding? Only a handful of fighters make more then that and the ones that do can sell, guys like AJ, Klitschko, Canelo, etc.

    Lets see your business portfolio OP? I assume its better than that of Jay z?

    All of the great successful entrepreneurs have business's that failed, Steve jobs is one of the biggest examples of that, Jay Z is an extremely successful businesses man forbes has his net worth in the region of $800 million and has been living an extremely lavish life style for over 20 years, There is zero reason to think he is going to go bankrupt now, that's just a pipe dream for you. I don't think he needs any tips from you OP . For all we know he does this for fun.

    Will fail?

    Why the future tense? They had one of the bigger money makers in the sport and couldn't make it work. Their roster is thin and they can't turn a profit. They can't promote for jack.

    The corpse of Tex Rickard could muster more sales for Ward-Kovalev than Roc and ME have done.
