    No one can say I didn't call it. I knew Kov wouldn't get a fair shake. I told everyone the deck was stacked against him. No way Weeks would've waved that off if CoWard was in the same position.

    People are missing the point.

    Whether they were low or not, you don't just call a fight off when a guy is sitting on the ropes.

    He's clearly mentally ok, hence he's actually able to balance his body weight to sit on the ropes, rather than fall through them/fall onto the canvas.

    Kovalev was hurt by the head shot, no doubt.....but that head shot only occurred because there was another low blow just before it.

    You give the guy a count and tell the guy that the blows, in his opinion, are on the belt.

    That's not the punch that did it. There's going to be many videos made of this fight and all of the low blows which were ignored. Ward was ducking low and headnutted him a few times as well.

    And yeah there is no way on earth Weeks would have done the same if Ward was hit low three times and sitting on the ropes complaining about low blows, not a chance.

    Let's not make pointless excuses for Kovalev here. The man said it himself, the shots were borderline. Ward was going to the body, Kovalev bended over and covered his chest so he got hit on the beltline. He was falling apart before that.

    The big issue here is the stoppage. You just don't stop a fight like that. Kovalev deserved a count. Whether Ward would have finished him off or not afterwards is irrelevant. Period.
