Yet their beloved fighter remains firmly planted at middleweight with absolutely no talks of moving to super let alone lightheavy. Ward and GGG the difference between a Legend and Hall of Famer vs just a Hall of Famer

First of all, talk is cheap.

Second, how many tuneup did Ward have at LHW before fighting Kovalev. GGG would get eaten alive if he did that.

Personally I think having the discipline to stay at peak weight and hold down a division should be applauded. Marvin Hagler is no less great because he did not move up, same situation here

I'm lost. I watch a LOT of boxing but I have no recollection of any fighters who go by "lil G".

My point is there's more than one way to skin a cat

Marvin Hagler is an ATG and he never moved up

Its a silly name given to GGG because his die hard fans claim he's a small MW.

If Ward moves up in weight he will face someone like Bellew - not Joshua, Usyk or Gassiev. Just saying.

Marvin Hagler had the good fortune to fight in an era when boxing was deep in talent and had the good fortune to fight several ATGs. Golovkin needs to carve out his own legacy if he wants to be immortalized.

Well that's bull shyte, Haglers 3 biggest fights where against blown up welterweight and lightweight.

The 160 division outside of Duran, SRL and Hearns wasn't deep in talent at all.

You don't think a career SMW beating Bellew would still be a massive achievement?

I know you don't like Bellew, but Bellew did beat Haye at HW.

It wouldn't be as big as beating a Wilder or a Joshua, Klitschko but it would still be historic.
