How much of a G is Ward to attempt that right hand on Kovalev in the 8th?

I agree with you but some of them doesn't and they will come back with all sorts of reasons and scorecards, etc.

Kovalev looked like he made a mistake there by momentarily switching to southpaw and then immediately after throwing a jab turned back to orthodox position leaving himself open for just a sec. That's when Ward exploded with a right hand. Great timing with the right hand by Ward. Kovalev has a pretty good chin not going down from that shot.

 

Ward knows where to throw it, that's how it is

 

A G? How old are you? Kovalev was ahead on points in my opinion. Sure, he had been hurt with some legal shots and some low blows... Some of those legal shots were get up with low blows first. The ref refused to even acknowledge the low blows except for one... which he only gave Kovalev a few seconds to recover from (the rule states a fighter can take up to 5 minutes to recover)... had Kovalev did that Weeks would have probably made Ward the winner by TKO at that point. You all are nuts defending Ward like this. Ward is an awesome fighter but he should be 0-2 vs. Kovalev not 2-0 (1)

I didn't really care who won, I like both fighters. Those shots were low, very low. They were not "borderline" unless you consider borderline the letters on the trunks BELOW THE waistband. The waistband that was very thick by the way. Anything under that band was clearly low. Anyway, it is what it is. I am unbiased but I know the rules, I am a ref.
