This was posed to me by a friend who is a casual viewer guy's and I'd like your thought's. The Heavyweight division is the blue ribbon division, we'd all like to be The Heavyweight Champion of the world. So hypothetically if say Anthony Joshua beats all the other champions (Parker, Wilder, Fury) does he have a legit claim to be P4P#1? And if not why not? 2) in this situation what would AJ need to do to be recognized as P4P#1? he's at the top of the mountain, he can't go up and challenge someone else.
AJ should be recognized as the best. Not by a land slide. If Fury had stayed successful and active, who knows, but gotta give it to AJ right now.
That pound for pound is subject to interpretation. It's not the weight class for me. For me it's the fighter who's skillset is what I would like to have if I stepped into the ring at any weight. Out of all the elite fighters fighting today, who's skillset would you rather take to the ring at any weight?
