Towards the end of the Q&A, a guy asked a question about body punching and how important it is, and he specifically said his question was for both fighters.

Canelo answered the question but surprisingly Triple G didn't lol.

Well the video I was watching they zoomed in on Triple G after Canelo answered the quetion and he had a look on his face like "what the heck is body punching".

All I kept thinking about was Triple G was saying to himself "ohh crap yeah that body punching thing, how am I gunna land body punches on Canelo". And another thing Triple G is friends with Kovalev and just saw his friend brutalized to his body by Ward, this must be on his mind. Maybe I'm reading too much into this (and I probably am) but why didn't Triple G answer that question? The guy specifically asked both guys to talk about body punching, Canelo answered, but Triple G just stood there with a glazed look in his eyes instead of answering this question.

Your just hoping hes gonna go the same way as kov. GGG far more complete than Kov, and has a brutally wicked left hook downstairs. These are the kind of questions u ask maybe yourself, but its just not something that you post about. Its really reaching imo

Watch the Fight Hub TV youtube video link of the Q&A. About the 20 minute mark right near the end of that video the guy asked the question about body shots, Canelo answers then after Canelo is done answering the question about body shots they zoom in on Triple G and he's just staring there with a blank look on his face lol. Then they go on to another question. Everyone was ready for Triple G to talk about body shots and he just stood there. He just totally froze lol.

Do you agree that GGG has a sweet left hook down stairs ?

Triple G does have a good left hook to the body, but I will say that it's gonna be harder for Triple G to land to the body on Canelo because Triple G is used to fighting bigger guys where the body is a bigger target. I'm not saying he can't land a body punch on Canelo, but logically given that Canelo is naturally the smaller guy, I think Triple G is going to have a harder time landing body punches on Canelo than the guys he's landed body shots on in the past. Also just how tight Canelo's guard is, his speed and elusiveness, etc. I mean if you're Triple G do you really want to get inside on Canelo and try to land to the body or do you want to stay outside and use that jab? I do think that's one area that Canelo has an advantage. I think Canelo's gonna have an easier time landing body shots on Triple G than Triple G on Canelo.

If you study the Canelo vs Floyd film, Floyd was able to win rounds with the jab. Floyd utilized his jab way more than usual vs Canelo and it was a very important part of the strategy for Floyd. So if you're Triple G, I don't know how smart it is to try to duck down and land body shots on Canelo. That could get him into trouble. But regardless, if you watch that video, I think at the very least you'll see what I'm saying about the Q&A. Like I really wanted to hear Triple G talk about the importance of body shots and for some reason, he just didn't answer the question.

Hes shorter, I'm not convinced hes smaller as much. Yeah very close it favors Canelo, GGG needs a bit more room to work. Perhaps he will land body shots on ggg more than the other way round, but Golovkins jab is going to be key here in keeping him at distance, its very good and heavy

Did you watch that Q&A? Could you believe Triple G just stood there and didn't answer that question about body punching? WTF was all about lmao. It just looked like Triple G just didn't want to talk about that lol, especially after seeing his friend Kovalev get brutalized to the body.

Golovkin has a really good uppercut that will hurt El Pollo, he is an excellent body puncher, has a power jab that can hurt, Golovkin know what to do, but El Pollo knows he will have the referee, judges and boxing commission on his side, Oscar will see to that, so we might see El Pollo throwing low blows all night...............

Maybe he is thinking that he can try ward stuff with canelo and see if the referee allows that. Will they call low or a KO.
Actually I'm 100% sure that's what he is thinking about.

Why didn't Triple G answer the question? Why did he just stare silently into space when asked about body punching? I mean I really wanted to hear what Triple G had to say about the importance of body punching. But unfortunately he just stood there and said nothing.:eek::( Does that concern you at all that your fighter didn't answer the question about body punching?

Canelo can only fight hard for 30sec every round, he's small compared to GGG and light punching compared to GGG.

Canelo does have much faster hands and better combination punching but GGG is definitely going to have plenty of opportunities to bang his body, ffs Canelo has slow stone feet, and loves fighting on the ropes which is a recipe for disaster against an aggressive and brutal puncher like GGG

Maybe he didn't want to? He stopped Macklin with a body punch and dropped Lemieux. This is the biggest non issue thread I've ever seen lol

It's probably he was not interested in answering. I've seen him kind of go off topic or lose interest in interviews before. He just continues smiling and saying 'This is boxing'.
