herbie hides fight tonight

I may be wrong, but I believe when Bowe said this he was having a sly dig at Lennox Lewis, who we all know put him away at the Olympics.
If Hide really did punch as hard as that, then surely his record would have a few decent scalps on it?

 

Yeah but who did he fight? Everytime he went for title contention "REAL" contention that is, he got blown away..

 

He beat Jean Channet which Derick Williams failed to do twice.

Anyone know whatever happened to Sweet D ?

 

After Angelo Dundee left Williams, he just kinda floundered in the division.

As for Bowe's comments about Hide ("He had me out on my feet"), on the one hand that's very flattering for Herbie. On the other hand, Bowe didn't exactly face a long line of power punchers in his career.

Regarding this recent fight, going the full distance could actually be better for Herbie than another knockout. At Cruiser at least, Herbie is making interesting waves.

 

Hide found it hard to nail the american so won due to the american didnt so anything. I think Hide would be in trouble against a faster cruiseweight.
