I have no doubt the WBC want this fight, they have wanted Wilder to keep hold of that belt, best revenue cut to themselves would surely come from having an American world champion fighting out of America. But Wilder hasnt emerged into a huge money making star due to his pussiness and all of a sudden there is huge money coming out of the UK through Joshua, much more than Wilder makes, so now they want Joshua to have the belt cuz he will make them the most money. Ofcourse if Wilder beat Joshua that would elevate him instantly and he would become the star they wanted him to be and then the money would come.

Im sure the WBC want that fight, im sure Wilder does but his managment are not going to go for it, neither would they take him to the UK to face Whyte they gotta keep the risks to the minimum, B level gate keeper types is as far as they dare push him.

Just don't understand Wilder at all, I get it he wants his big cash out fight v Aj but he is tied up with Klitschko then Pulev. Whyte although not the best is extremely game and will go in there to win. Plus would be an excellent payday for him with Hearn's money behind him and also a chance to get a larger profile for himself in the UK which would only give an even larger PPV draw when he does fight Joshua.

Instead he will fight grossly overweight, feet in cement and come straight forward Stiverne in a completely unwarranted rematch. Then afterwards hunt the lower reaches of the heavyweight boxrec rankings to pluck an unheralded Eastern European eurobum for his next voluntary "title defence". Getting tired about hearing from this charlatan, has he no shame continuing to beat his oversized drum when his record is thinner than a wafer. Just take a meaningful fight FFS...

I have to admit, it is quite a funny response from Wilder. Joshuas too busy with Wlad, Pulev and possibly Ortiz and Wilder knows this so I think Wilder is just happy to wait it out and not want to deal with Whyte unless he can hustle Hearn for more money.

 

Thats poor form by Wilder. Don't understand why he doesn't jump at the opportunity. Turning down Whtye isn't going to get himself any closer to Joshua.
