Remember this thread. There are rumors that he may enter the newly announced Usyk cruiserweight tournament. Hopefully he enters and wins it all. I'm rooting for him. He's much easier fight for Ward than Kovalev. I'm not that impressed by his punching power and he lacks the jab like Kovalev to trouble Ward. If fact I won't be shocked if he's TKO'd by Ward. YDKSAB. A slick fighter is Ward's kryptonite that's why he avoids them like the plague except Dawson but he was drained to a zombie, so that doesn't really count. Ward pretty much always fights the same type of opponents: Kovalev, Froch, Kessler, Abraham are his best wins and these fighters have something in common, neither of them are slick.

Ward is not a cruiserweight and has short arms. He is also slower than Usyk. Ward may move up to cruiser to fight somebody (most likely Bellew) but he will never fight Usyk and I am willing to put big money on that.
Hell nooooo! Usyk s too big too fast too furious for Ward. If Ward goes up to cruiser it will be to fight Bellew, he dont stand a chance against Briedis or Usyk, weight and height differences would be too much for him. Dont get me wrong, I respect Ward since he is N1 p4p but there are weight classes for something and cruiserweight is plenty of talent
