Can we respect both fighters, GGG and Canelo, and enjoy one of the greatest fights in boxing today?

I think there are some similarities between the next mega-fight and Ward vs. Kovalev. Too many haters already on this board, as predicted GGG is their target but Canelo does not get much love either.

I like both fighters and can't wait to see that fight. I want to see Golovkin the first time against an elite fighter. I want to see Canelo the first time against an elite fighter after Floyd, but who has a different style. Both fighters can go even further beyond their limits in this fight.

These guys are not Ward and Kovalev. One was called a bully and racist, the other an arrogant fake Christian with ties to shady people. Not sure how much truth is in these accusations, but it was annoying. It wasn't a fight anymore, it was a race war.

Now we have the chance to see a fight between two great fighters, two entertaining fighters and two gentlemen who respect each other. There was some bad blood due to the WBC title and the 155 catchweight but it's over. In a few months we may get the FOTY that could be better than Joshua vs. Wladimir.

Don't ruin it with your bull**** and racism. Both sides.

Honestly sometimes I think I'm the only objective non biased poster on this site.

No doubt the usual suspects will dismiss the legitimacy of the winner.

For me the winner is p4p number 1 and a solidified ATG.

I'll respect the winner regardless, very few posters here feel the same way.

There's too many dummies here to feel they have to pick a side and defend it regardless of any facts. I'm a bigger fan of 3G than I am Alvarez, but I'm still a fan of his.

Respect both fighters? Next, in the event of a classic, you'll be wanting people to give credit to both of them instead of denouncing the loser as an over-hyped bum.

Sorry but I find it very hard to respect Canelo after his embarrassing actions concerning the WBC title Even his own countrymen turned against him naming him El Pollo
GGG on the other hand is always polite & respectful towards opponents. He does his talking in the ring he is a FIGHTER !!! not a Prima Donna
Ive given up on seeing a straight down the middle fair fight again I just hope the LEGITIMATE best man gets the win

Let's just hope ggg doesn't get hit with low blows or get robbed on the score cards.
If canelo wins I want him to win legitimately.

ive given both men high praise and harsh criticism in the past, i think i give to each what they deserve. i will be much more in awe if canelo can pull off a legitimate win. if he can, the sky is the limit, as he walks into his prime.

Even with all the drama I'm content this fight is happening now and didn't get stalled longer

With Red peaking its a better fight,

Pulling for G, but may the best man win. Clearly please !
