Brooks big problem was the standard of boxers he was fighting between Porter and GGG/Spence....you cant coast from fight to fight then expect to jump up and fight the best 160/147 boxers !!compare Spences route to the belt,he was moved up in class perfectly until he was primed to be champion..
Hearn is all about 'numbers'...it seems his fighters either fight bums or for a belt ,progression does not seem to be high on the agenda...
Look at Dave Allen, fighting in sports halls then in with Luis Ortiz!!that should not be allowed,if he was progressed better he would be Euro champ now..

Anyway back to Brook,i would like to see him retire rather than come back and beat Jimmy Kelly then get battered by Liam Williams/Smith

Williams and Smith are way off Brook's level.

After GGG brook was in a tough situation where the purse bid had been ordered and he had to fight. Now he's the challenger again he can at least have as long off as he wants

He really should take advantage of that, recover mentally, take a tune up and go for Khan or maybe move up and fight Liam Smith as an introduction to 154

He's had both his eyes broke so maybe there's is a remote chance Khan will consider fighting him.

His next fight is PPV and I aint buying either.

Eh Day needs to realise that he has been exposed at the elite level as we all expected.

Get him on at the York Hall on a Katie Taylor undercard.

I agree with what your saying here, boxers need to be brought through the domestic ranks and nurtured correctly, at least 15 fights to learn the craft. Hearn will match anyone to sell his shows, but it's up to the boxers manager to act as a firewall between boxer and promoter and to protect his fighter. I thought GGG had done damage that would come back on Brook and it did, if Brook fights Khan next year that would be a good one to retire on.

I would, I agree it's lost a lot of sparkle but I still want to see Brook spark Khan.

This. Hes physically finished imo. Look after your health and retire. He wont mentally get over the damage that's done to him in GGG and Spence fight. Khan for the bank balance or retire !

If Eddie Hearns really cares about Kell he should advise him to have a break
of 6 months and ask Kell to reassess if he wants to fight again in 2018.

the reason why he wants to come back this year and Dom eluded to it is that brook is naturally too big and baloons in weight in between fights. The inactivity and eye op hurt the training camp as a lot of the camp was to cut the weight! i think this is the main reason leaving it to next year he will baloon up again. I dont know why but i have a feeling he have 1 more fight at 147 hence the quick return. Maybe a top 10-20 fighter.

They may make thurman a one in a lifetime PPV fight offer to the UK they have the money with Sky and Mathroom boxing. Probably 75/25 kind of split to Thurman. Bating thurman in to think brook is done.

The only fight left for brook is a full bad mouthing pantomime build up ticket selling ppv massive against khan. That's how Eddie will build it up. Totally meaningless fight as regards to rankings etc but one the bloke in the pub will pay for. After that it's retirement. Brook cannot compete at elite ww or lmw end of the road
