I can see Hopkins hiding under the ring on fight night and cutting it open with a knife, before dragging GGG into the hole, making Canelo the new champion.

Wonder if he leaves for 168 and let's Hopkins keep that record intact

Golovkin was scared to get in the ring with 50 year old Hopkins.

When did I ever say that the fight was going to be at 160? Are you pretending like Golovkin didnt try to make fights with Chavez and Froch at 168 and constantly throw out the names of Hopkins and Zurdo as potential opponents?

Golovkins fans really are the worst. Their stories change day to day.

Golovkin hasn't reached his goals @ 160 yet it makes no sence to move up before. Yes they thrown out these names before but the main goal since 2012 was always to unfiy 160 and he is close doing it. Hopkins couldn't make 160 and probaly also not 168.
If a prime 160 Golovkin who is a natural MW moves up to 168 or a 170 CW or even LHW to fight an old Hopkins who is a natural LHW you can only lose. If Hopkins wins you are a Clown, If Hopkins survived they will say you have no power and prime Hopkins would beat you. Even if you can stop him they will say you fought an old man. It isn't that easy to move back to 160 after moving up to 168 or 175

Loeffler has stated that if they went to 168 it would be on a 1 fight basis and they would go right back down to 160 and it would be no problem for Golovkin. We know Hopkins couldnt make 160 again. So why have you tried to point that out twice now?

Golovkin's breakthrough on HBO /US was in late 2012/2013. The earlierst date a fight with Hopkins could have been made was maybe in 2014.
Around that time Hopkins fought Golovkin's fellow-countryman Shumenov in an unification.

Do you really think that version of Hopkins could beat Golovkin @168 ????

Im not sure Lara version of 2 years ago could beat Golovkin@160 but I would have liked to have seen it. What does it matter if I think he could have beaten him? Loeffler floated the Hopkins name as a potential opponent yet never pursued the fight. I bet Hopkins would have loved to have gotten in the ring with him. Heck he did with Kovalev.

Again with the 168/175 talk. Give it up. You don't need to be a multi weight champ to be dominant. Weak argument.

Broner is a 4 weight champ but i bet he forgot whom he beat to get that first belt.
I sure as **** don't remember the guy.
    It´s about who you beat.

3G might do it but its still a long way off.

Lets return to the question when he can get into double figures defences first - he needs 2 or 3 more to make 10 defences, I believe.
