Quite a few olympians are pro/turning pro right now. To my knowledge they are:

    Josh Kelly
    Joshua buatsi
    Anthony Fowler
    Lawrence okolie
    Qais Ashfaq
    Joe Cordina

Who do you all think has the most potential in the pro ranks out of the lot?

Kelly & Buatsi are both future world champions imo.

Ashfaq is very talented but not sure if his style will suit the pro's

    Cordina should go far

Fowler & Okolie will get found out at a half decent level

Okolie almost certainly has a Glass Jaw. That bin driver had him on ***** street.

Nobody rates that Fowler kid but I won't be surprised if he ends up having the best career of the bunch, and definitely won't be surprised if he beats PBK in the future.

Froch was never the best pure boxer but he had power, chin and great stamina.
    Fowler could be another Froch.

I would hate to bet the house on any of them lol, plenty of them have good potential for sure and I won't be surprised to see more than a couple winning a strap at some stage.

Becoming a world champion isn't that impressive these days considering the amount of belts and politics.

Most fighters win vacant straps these days any way, getting a lucky ranking and fighting a bum for the title isn't impressive to me.

Golovkin was 32 when he won/was handed his first legitimate world title?
Groves has only just won his first world title?

Some guys have to do it the hard way and then you get Liam Smith fighting John Thompson lol

    Jr is only 27yo

To be fair, Fowler was awful in the Olympic's and was happy to hide behind the 'I got a tough draw i got beat by the future gold medalist'. Think the guy got nowhere in the competition. Not the sign of a winner.

After Friday, I won't be missing a Kelly fight. Love the style he has

Batsui is supposed to be a monster. A lot of people wanted to sign him up

Pretty much agree with you on this, though at this stage in the pro ranks it's impossible to really know for sure. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of them properly tested earlier than usual

Re: comparisons with Froch, he was a bronze medalist at the world championships as an amateur no? So had a fair amount of pedigree...

    So did Fowler?
    Fowler won Commonwealth gold too!

Think its safe to say Fowler was just as decorated as Froch as an amateur

Josh kelly is an awesome prospect. Early to say and I know there are no guarantees in boxing, but if I had to put money on one guy making it big it would be him....incredible talent.

Kelly is impressive think he 'll be a naseem. Will batter everyone until he meets a no nonsense fighter with great fundamentals.

Looking forward to seeing Buatsi, Kelly and Cordina.

Okolie has no chance imo, if anyone was lucky enough to see him v Savon in amateurs (Not the rio fight) he was KO'd with basically the first punch. He's one for the future Glass chin monthly rankings

Fowler seems to have good fundamentals and good power, but it'll be interesting to see how he does v someone who can actually box.

Overall I'm most excited about Buatsi I think. He has the power and style to be in exciting fights, he doesn't seem arrogant and he's been in with some of the best light heavyweights in amateurs

Kelly and Buatsi stand outs for me. But overall and even though not a Rio olympian, Andrew Selby. Immense talent.

Kelly is so exciting to watch, I delayed some plans on Friday just to make sure I saw it live. He just has IT! He's got the looks, swagger, talk... but most importantly he has a huge amount of skills and talent. And in Booth he's got a top class trainer.

My only worry for him is who's about when he gets to the World title level - will he beat a Spence or a Thurman, we'll wait an see.

Looking forward to the obvious Kelly v Benn fight with them both being Matchroom. Think he'll dust Connor up good and proper. Be interesting to see if they put Eggington in with him when he's ready.
