You think its gonna be Callum Smith ? Although Smith said he wont join the tournament if Tony Dirrell doesnt get in.

I believe the Swedish guy will get in, Skoglund.

And who would be the cruiser ?

I can only think of 3 CWs signed with Hearn

Bellew, Isaac Chamberlain and Lawrence Okolie

Chamberlain is 7-0 and he hasn't fought anyone above domestic level, Okolie is 3-0 and he hasn't fought anyone.

Callum Smith seems the logical one

Mike Perez is a matchroom cruiserweight too

I guess the SMWs are Callum Smith and Jamie Cox, and the cruiser is Mike Perez. Can't see who the 2nd cruiser could possibly be though.

Well he did say Nathan Cleverly could potentially fight in either tourney lol

That was a few weeks ago, and Fielding should be higher on the list than Cox!

Jamie Cox is a nut and his best weapon the headbutt is an illegal and dangerous move that could cause a serious cut that might ruin the tournament.

TBH it wouldn't surprise me if he got in but realistically he should not be considered

Hearn even himself confirmed Perez isn't his fighter so why tell lies to people?

I don't think super middleweight was the best choice. The wbss guys should've known there would be problems getting Ramirez and Hart, and Degale I think already in March was injured. Smith-Dirrell was finalised a day after the tourney was announced, but they knew it was a mandatory and would likely get in the way. Abraham-Eubank is a week after the draw's supposed to be announced, so they're not possible.

Hearn has said he wants Smith to be in, but he wants Smith-Dirrell to simply be part of the tourney. But no Eddie, the wbss format is clear and sensible, and they better not cave and change the rules for him. Smith-Dirrell should have to be cancelled, then both guys enter as anyone else does, and they only fight in the first round if they draw each other.

To save this Benevidez HAS to get in. I don't what the holdup with Zeuge is. Korobov is rated at super middle by the WBO, so he's eligible at least. Do the two possible wildcards not have to be ranked at super middle? Jacobs and Quillin would make for good fights against the super middles.

Considering the issues, here's what I hope for...

    Groves
    Benavidez
    Korobov
    Avni Yildirim
    Zeuge
    Skoglund
    Jacobs
    Qullin

About time. The cruiser field's almost set and only one smw. You'd think they need to get the entries set by the weekend, just to get everyone to Monaco for the 8th. Hoping for Benevidez but guessing Yildirim and Skoglund, and Korobov would be fine.

The wbss says two undefeated fighters will be announced in minutes. That other post says two smws, but the wbss doesn't specify. Ramirez, Hart, Benevidez, Zeuge, and Callum Smith are undefeated, let's make it one of them, and the other Usyk.
