He might as well go for it and give it his all. For someone who was being touted as a great prospect his career hasn't exactly taken off to date. I don't expect him to do much in the tournament but it will at least get him a bit of money and should he at least give a good account may help with his exposure.

I remember hearing Barry Jones say Cox has Golovkin type power.....but he doesn't.

Cox's defence was woeful against last opponent it's a godsend the lad had no punch power, if he boxed like that I'd go with rocky

Hate to be pessimistic but this SMW tournament sounds crap compared to the CW version. CW has killers in it. Usyk is likely to participate too.

SMW will probably end up including Kessler (this is clearly why he came out of retirement). Cox is domestic level, totally unproven on the world stage, not even tested. And if Degale and Ramirez don't take part, it has no legitimacy as a tournament to determine the best SMW in the world.

He won the lotto, a million dollar guaranteed pay day.

Think he will be happy to turn up because he will be probably get a world title shot thrown in as well.

He's a lucky SOB, because Rocky was going to end his hopes of getting out of the domestics.

I have to agree with the general consensus Jamie Cox would not beat Fielding and will be out of his depth in this tournament. He will get a decent pay day though.

Don't understand why anyone would tip fielding to beat Cox after his performance Vs Rebrasse. He lost that fight comfortably imo
Cox not a world beater but he'd stop Fielding more times that he'd get stopped

would you fancy a bout against rocky fielding for david trophy as @moog suggested earlier in thread? I'm not sold on rocky and think this would be a great way to raise brophy profile as a champion:thumbsup:

Strong mutterings that Anvi Yildrim will be joining. Again, he's another undefeated prospect but much more proven than Cox. Agree it won't be as good as the CW one but I think we've really been spoiled with that

He's the guy who knocked DeGale's teeth out right before the Jack fight, should be interesting.

I also think Rebrasse best Fielding, but I would think most posters would agree with me that from what they have personally seen of Cox that Rebrasse looks better than him.
