Whatever Kovalev decides to do, he needs to stay the hell away from Hunter and his camp

He may well believe that with hunter offering his services, he is doing so out of sheer good will. However Kovalev needs to understand that he is a dealing with a crafy man who never forgets what has gone before

There is sour history between these two men. We know Hunter holds a prejudice towards Russians and their men. And while Kovalev may believe that others are men like himself who would not covertly seek revenge in covert ways, he needs to understand he is living in America not Russia where there are so called men who will betray you in a heartbeat. Hunter will not have his best interests at heart. It will be JDJ all over again but with more damaging consequences.

I've heard mentioned in some quarters, that Hunter will teach SK how to deliver devastating body blows and how to fight formidably on the inside and protect himself against body punches.

He may well do that, as he has done with Ward. But Kovalev is not Andre Ward and has too much honor and pride to resort to fouling his way to victory. Amir Khan was promised the world and he is still the same flawed fighter.

What concerns me is that they will attempt to encourage Kovalevto use the same stuff which Ward took from the hands of Victor Conte while reassuring him that he the masking methods will avoid any detection. However due to Kovalev being dispensable as a foriegn fighter in the US, they will not bother ensuring he has the same level of protection as Ward, so inevitably he be left to the wolves leading to being caught with his name forever blackened along with all of his accomplishments and Hunter would have gotten exactly what he wished.
