No he's 2 division champion in divisions which are poor to say the least. Crawford is head and shoulders above anyone at 140 but it is devoid of talent, that's not Crawfords fault but it's the truth.
I think Crawford is the best fighter in the sport, but unifying the belts is as much about politics as skill. Indongo is a fan friendly, heart warming story, but he's really not somebody I'd consider as a launch pad for a claim to #1 PVP. That's going to come whenever Crawford gets to 147 or fights Pac. A Mikey Garcia fight could probably do it as well.
ward in number one p4p no doubt nowone can change that. then winner of ggg/canelo has number 2 locked.. bud will be 3 or 4 if he wins
He's already really high in my personal p4p opinion. Belts mean nothing nowadays, at least for me. Indongo's fight will not change anything. It's so obvious he's one of the best and most talented fighters in the world.
If he beats Indongo He should stay at 140 for 2 years and just beat down all his mandatories like a boss. Just smash them down Then, when he's ready to move up, beat down on DSG. Then, if Spence is still a top dog, go after him
LOL at some guys saying the two divisions that Crawford is champion in are weak. Meanwhile this guy is sucking off Golovkin at every turn. But the answer would be NO. Ward owns that spot until further notice.
Crawford is one of my favorites as he just has so much skill it is amazing. He will win this fight and move up
