This is a trash post even by your standards. A spiteful lie based on nothing but bigotry and jealousy the same things you pretend to grand stand against.

Exactly. All Loma has to do is offer him more money or 50-50. If he does not accept that then Loma has to move on. The only thing about him not rematching Salido is when you do future head to head match ups, they will pick any rough and tough fighter over Loma. The comments will read great fighter, but he didn't rematch Salido who won a controversial fight.

Then they'll say stuff like he can be roughed up. It may not be fair even if Loma goes on to become great, but I've been in hot debates with some very knowledgable boxing fans. What i got out of these convos is you must do the rematch or make every attempt to because history will judge you.

You dumb ass... You think by the time Loma retires, Salido will have been the 'only rough and tough' fighter he'll have faced? You're so f*ckin shortsighted you can barely see anything passed your nose...

I am actually glad that Salido turned down Top Rank's $720K offer. My understanding is that Lomachenko has made about $1 million for each of his last two fights, against Walters and Sosa, while Walters made $300K and Sosa reportedly made only around $100K. A Salido rematch is a significantly bigger fight than either of those, plus Salido has leverage that nobody else has, having previously beaten Lomachenko in a close but clear decision. Therefore, offering Salido a flat fee of $720K with apparently no added-on percentages of live gate or TV, even if it would be the highest purse he's ever received for a bout, I believe is a significant shortchanging of Salido. Salido brings the excitement in literally every single fight he has, and with Top Rank backing Lomachenko, this is probably Salido's best chance to earn genuinely life-changing money for a single bout. If $720K is not sufficiently life-changing for him, then good for him for making a stand.

Yeah, this is closer to the truth but there's a lack of reasonable thinking on this board. They just take the baton from their master, in this case, Top Rank, then try to push the narrative Top Rank wants to push. Meanwhile Lomo is fighting a lackluster opponent nobody wants to see, that does nothing for his career or his unearned P4P position. I always support fighters acting in their best interest and Salido is doing that. After all of this nobody said negotiations are over but after this next fight people are going to be sick and tired so in the end they are going to have to pay the man.

i'll go one step further: i was more impressed with Loma from that "loss" to Salido than i was from any of his other first five fights.

Look, Loma fought a Mexican in San Antonio, Texas--whose official weigh-in was 2 1/4 lbs over the limit and who was 11 pounds heavier than Loma on fight night--who punched Loma in the balls all night, while the consensus worst-referee-in-boxing-history who by his own admission "left his A-Game at home" issued only a single warning to Salido. In Loma's second pro fight, he goes 12 rounds. What's more, Loma not only lasted 12 rounds, but he finished stronger than Salido (last few rounds clearly belonged to Loma) and lost by SD.

Unless TMT is paying Salido more than 720k you have a point. If he is getting paid not even half of that, he is dumb! He can ask for $2M if he wants to but he won't make that kind of cash. Plus he is close to retirement.

Maybe since you have half a brain cell that some way makes financial sense for you. But I would have taken the 720k and beat him again then go fight Davis and ask for similar amount of money. Then win or lose just retire.

    LOL

NO S.H.I.T.!! They are making seem like if a loss is the end of the world for you and if you don't avenge it, you won't be remembered as agreat. Like you said, that loss of Hopkins sure is haunting him LOL

Where is the contract with the 700k on it that was sent to Salido? Gotta see it to believe it, when it comes to anything Top Rank says.

Also laughable that they ignore Rigondeaux. He is the best available opponent for Lomachenko from 130 on down.

You need to look up the definition of hypocrite because what I posted wasn't hypocritical.

I do find it ironic that a Wilder fan is complaining about a fighters quality of opposition though.
