1. Pacquiao got jobbed again by 3 blind judges. 2. Horn did much better than what everyone expected and did give old Manny some trouble. Which probably influenced the decision. 3. Pacquiao has really shown his age and has slowed down. The fact he's been getting hit with some shots against a C-fighter shows. 4. Lastly, Pacquiao is FINISHED as a top fighter and shouldn't fight the current guys like Crawford, Thurman, Spence, etc. And he wouldn't be able to do much better in a rematch against Mayweather The fact that Pacquiao is 38 and still competing, along with the fact that his style usually don't last long, is amazing and is a testament to his already legendary status. All legends have to come to an end and I think it's really time for him to hang them up. Retire in good health and let the younger fighters rise.
1.) One blind judge. The one who scored it 117-111. He must have been sitting next to Atlas 2.) Horn did unexpectedly well which nobody predicted. His scrappiness won him the rounds. I think I may have been influenced more by Atlas. If you listened to Atlas, this fight was a like walk in the park for Pac. Anything Horn threw was because it was a trap by Pac. 3.) Agree. Sad to say but it's near the twilight of the great Manny Pacuiao. He's now 5-4 in his last 9 fights. Just let that sink in. 4.) He should retire but does anybody believe he will? The fact he was fighting on ESPN indicates a financial factor is involved. I don't wan't to hear him talking like Toney or Holyfield who fought on for way too long.
Well said, Flo Raiden. Horn did better than expected. Pac did worse. But Pac's worst was still better than Horn's best. Horn was busier but didn't land much. Pac was inactive but still outlanded Horn. Horn was stronger, bigger, younger, and more aggressive. He manhandled Pac in the clinches and pushed him around against the ropes, but that's not how you score. You score with punches which Pacquiao did. Pacquiao showed how a veteran with diminished abilities beats a novice who has every physical advantage. It just wasn't flashy. This fight had more in common with Holyfield vs Valuev than it did with Norris vs Leonard.
That ain't fair. He should be 7-2 in his last 9. You are counting 2 huge robberies against him. You might just as well **** on Erislandy Lara's record and say he should retire. I agree that Pac should retire and he's a shell of himself just looking to get knocked out, but that line of reasoning above was flawed.

Why walk calmly away from the ring when you can leave the ring in a flying fashion? Much more memorable exit.
That Atlas fellow can be pretty persuasive. He had me believing that Pac was winning almost every round. Then I watched it without his commentary and saw something entirely different.
I agree 100%. I thought he won, but before that, the thing that most had my attention during the fight was how slow and stationary he looked. He should maybe try for the rematch and hopefully go out on a win, but should stay away from any of the current upper tier welters.
