With refs, low blows, headbutts, elbows, hugging, etc, he can beat anyone. No one mentions it by he held the **** out of Kovalev in the second fight. Good, but boring, dirty fighter.

 

If during the year and a half that the tournament takes place he has a few cruiserweight fights it could be great. Wouldn't mind seeing Ward at cruiserweight but it is a big wright jump. Maybe beatup on BJ Flores (if he isn't retired) to ease into the weight.

 

I can't completely rule out Ward beating the cruisers. Short of Byrd Vit like injury situation, there is no way Ward beats AJ or any of the top shw's.

Those tactics only work against people his approximate size. Imagine him trying to roughhouse Wlad.

 

Obviously SOB is very strong cause his wrestling,low blows,head butts n elbows have won him all the big fights,not seen anything like that since that strange HW got disqualified.
Seriously though despite his style that turns folk off he's an amazing boxer who doesn't know how to lose but I think at cruiser weight he'd be giving up two stone in weight and that's a lot,,love to see him n Bellew though as Bellew has clearly improved and took Hayes shots so once again Ward would have to have things stacked in his favour but I guess that's a given right?
