Yes, SK controlled the pace and distance of the matches, landed the cleaner and harder shots, outlanded Ward in 13 of the 19 rounds, while absurdly being behind on the judges' scorecards, and gets stopped with a torrent of low blows after enduring a match chock full of low blows, elbows, head butts, etc.

Those are actually borderline and Weeks did not penalize Ward, so what's the problem? Those aren't the punches that ended the fight.

Regarding the belly button....anything below the navel is technically a low blow per the general rules of boxing. It's not just the balls, it's the bladder and entire pubic bone region, hips..etc.. You hit a guy on the belly button you are flirting with a low blow and will likely get a complaint from your opponent or a warning from the official.

This failing is on Weeks, stray punches happen but he allowed Ward to make a strategy of targeting a borderline area and that is just inviting controversy for obvious reasons. Some punches will eventually land low.

Ward's friend and manager James Prince, issued a veiled threat in the build up after he took issue with Kovalev saying that he wished to end Ward's career.

James Prince should be sent to Syria, and see how hard life actually is for people ACTUALLY struggling.

Any real boxing fan understands the f@ckery that occurred in the matches. This wouldn't be acceptable in any other sport. It's the reason why people are leaving the sport in droves. How delicious will the lack of boxers and fights due to lack of support and f@ckery? Doesn't sound or taste very good to me. As a Ward fan, mind you.

    Delicious like a $hit sandwich.

SOB is a cheater, no doubt about it................Why not have Kovalev/SOB fight in Moscow, with Russian judges, referee and boxing commission, SOB would not have a chance..........

SOB would not have a chance with neutral judges, referee and boxing commission, but SOB did say that Neutral judges would be unfair, yes, unfair to him. SOB does not believe in a level playing field. SOB is a piece of fecal matter.........

However if you acaully look at the prefight he even said that punches that are on the belt where fine. So Ward wasn't even in the wrong for most of the shots.

It took two losses to convince him! Maybe he had an idealistic opinion of how things really work in the USA? Being disabused of such illusions because of being naïve can be very costly. Reminds me of what happened to a Roman General who trusted this German who had been raised among Romans and whom he considered as almost a son.

Kov admitted in one interview that Ward was better. He then gave another saying he needs a new trainer to be able to compete with Ward.

But he knows some will buy the excuses so he keeps throwing them out there.

I don't justify that kind of threat. However, Kov does have a nasty way of expressing himself. Did you notice how during the post fight interview he said he wanted a rematch so he could kick Ward's ass? Someone in Ward's camp must have laughed at him and he mimicked the laugh sarcastically. He has to choose his words a little more carefully.

Sergey has turned into such an embarrassing figure in under a year. Even Klimas can't make excuses for him anymore.

I though this dude was the Krusher? More like the Komplainer?

Lets just pretend that Ward knocks people out all of a sudden. Ward has never knocked out an elite fighter before, even the smaller fighters that moved up in weight to fight him, and Kovalev has never been knocked out before, so of course this whole issue is real, the accumulation of low blows and the ref ending the fight on a low blow were real and damning, they do exist.
