But was Holmes actually knocked unconscious rez? I remember the last kd and Larry been flat out but I thought he was actually still trying to get up. The corner that jumped in were telling him to stay down, that the fight was over? I could be wrong cos not seen the fight for a while. Now the marvis ko.. He is definitely out cold.
And Young, and Canady. Holmes was certainly close enough for me. Tyson was a devastating offensive force.
When I think of unconscious I think of Jersey Joe against the rock.. Now he was out.. Gone.. Sparko. I think Holmes was more of a Joe Louis against marciano type ko. Dazed and groggy but not in my eyes unconscious.
Canady and Young were brutal kos John. Just a couple of Tyson s early victims when Mike was roaring his way to the top. Brilliant days.
Yep similar but I think Louis was hurt more than Holmes, Holmes was talking whilst on the floor I believe.
You got that wrong, Fergy. Walcott wasn't unconscious. He took a good right hand from Marciano and decided to take a knee while he gathered his thoughts. Unfortunately the 38 year old Walcott was so old (this was the early 1950s), he fell asleep while on the canvas and was unfortunately counted out.
Certainly did. Not sure if many up coming heavy s cut through like Tyson did. The guys he was knocking over weren't the exactly top of the division but no one else was getting them out that fast and devastatingly.
