He's not had the fights he needs under warren post Tete, he's only fought tough journeymen. They should have matched him up with Jamie Conlan for example, a very winnable fight for Butler and it would have been a reasonably big fight.

I think Frank would have offered paul the tete fight (which is for a full world title), however im not sure paul would have fancied that. I think it was more the WBA ordering the solis rematch that prevented to mcdonnell/butler fight happening as oppose to frank pulling the offer

No as Matchroom had a step aside agreement in place with Solis, was Queensbury stringing Paul and Matchroom along for months then not keeping to verbal agreements.

100% agree Paul's already starting to become more rigid and his hands are too high which is restricting his movement

TBF to Butler heard many interviews were they said they offered Jamie the fight three times and even offered it in Ireland, Conlan said he was not ready. Remember Butler beating him in the AMs which means nothing but Jamie going life of death with fighters like Nelson and Mexicans with losing records, Butler would beat him IMO.

Important to get a trainer who fits your style, the likes of Booth, Ingles, Sanigars all a better fit style wise for Butler but none of them would be any good georgrwphy wise. Peter Fury would be great for him but he seems interested only in heavier divisions if I am not mistaken.

Oh butler would murder him....but that's not the point. Conlon was well up for it. Both fighters wanted it...can't understand why it never happened...
