I was talking with a guy this afternoon who reckons Manny has already agreed to do a rematch in Australia. The guy was on the bus with Manny on the way to the fight (he was showing me the videos) and wasn't big noting. I appreciate there's plenty of guys claiming to report on what Manny has told them but there were only about 12-15 guys on the bus (including Freddie Roach & Justin Fortune) so presumably that's the inner sanctum. Dates mentioned were last week in October and first week in November (haven't heard October mentioned elsewhere). Melbourne is apparently pushing very hard to get the fight. It will either be there or Brisbane. Not looking to big note. Just passing on what I heard a couple of hours ago. Obviously everything tbc.
rematch needs to happen...why wait till October, get it on in September.. no need to prolong this misery of a situation. Horny gonna get pummeled then never heard from again.
It won't be September. That's football finals month in Australia. First week in November is Melbourne Cup (horse race on a Tuesday) so it could tie in with that. Manny definitely wasn't prepared properly for the first fight. He only arrived in the country a week beforehand. That's not enough time. Needs to get here a couple of weeks before the fight and do some sparring in the first week. Expect him to be a lot more focused and better prepared second time around. In saying that, he'll need to be because Horndog just got 12 rounds of world championship experience under his belt. That's 12 rounds he didn't have going into the first fight.
Looks like them days are gone though now...The deck is stacked against him in every department nearly at this stage
Top Rank has Lomachenko and Crawford quite possibly the 2 best p4p fighters in boxing. Crawford about to be the first undisputed champion since Hopkins when he beat ODLH.
