Anybody crying robbery for Horn/Pacquaio needs to re-evaluate their eyes.

This fight reminds me a little bit of the reaction of the GGG Jacobs fight. It tends to be a "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" type of thing. Maybe its just me or I don't have a love hate relation ship with fighters, but my opinion doesn't change with how the scorecards fall because in the end if there is not knockout boxing to me seems to align with scoring that is like gymnastics or figure skating. I want to see Jeff Horn fight someone else past the top 10 welterweights to see how good he really his.

 

I like Pac, but he was barely throwing any punches. Horn was missing a lot of shots, but he had Pac backing up most of the fight, which doesn't look good to judges. Horn was head butting and laying all of his weight down on Pac and got away with other stuff, but Pac has seen it all before and should've dealt with it. Pac coasted too much in the fight and Horn's team took advantage.

I thought it was a poor decision. Fan or not, I usually have a certain feeling when the scores are being read as to whether it was close or not. Ward-Kovalev I got that feeling. I did not get that feeling with Golovkin-Jacobs because I thought Golovkin won by a few rounds + KD. I thought Pac won by a fair margin especially when I heard 117-111. I was shocked Horn won.

Not looking to argue, just thought Horn was very ineffective and the fight was fixed like numerous others.

I scored it to Pac 115-113. Happy with that, a draw or 115-113 Horn. Wasn't a robbery.

It seems to me with Horn, ppl are deciding on their own what metrics to score by. Rewarding garbage aggression, penalizing for clean punching, rewarding dirty tactics, and most obvious penalizing Pac for being old.

 

It's pretty simple. Jeff Horn was supposed to be an exhibition match, stay busy fight, tune-up, and gauge (to see where Pac was at his age) for either Mikey Garcia or Terence Crawford in the fall. So when Horn wasn't dead by Round 3 and was actually competitive, he was handsomely compensated for his Herculean efforts.

I hate Teddy Atlas, but he was right, you don't get credit for trying!

Horn showed Pac no respect. Nor did the referee or the judges.

 

We get that Pac is old and it shows. But he clearly won.
8-4 or 7-5 if you are generous to Horn. Most of the press row had pacman won.

 

If this is a robbery then what about Kovalev Ward 1? Will they check them scores again yeah?
