UK is not squeaky clean, but things that happen there are nowhere as dubious as Germany. Hopefully this Williams farce will start some kind of clean up of dodgy German promoters that are hurting the sport.

Hatton looked more hurt in the 10th than Lazcano did at any point of the fight.

WTF has that got to do with anything? Lots of boxers mention retirement lots of times.

Tszyu annihalated Mitchell, but it doesn't count because he mentioned retirement afterwards?

Isn't that a natural reaction if someone falls on top of you?

I don't want to start talking about British boxing being corrupt, because it isn't. Neiter is American or German, but we do all favour the home fighter to some degree.

Of the fights that have been mentioned, I'd highlight 3 that I watched feeling like - wow, that's a bit dodgy...

Brodie-Chi I - If a fight in Germany announced the Brit as the winner, then about an hour later the result is changed to a draw to favour the German guy. This board would f*cking melt down within 5 minutes.

Benn-McClellan - I remember the referee actually pushing McClennan away from Benn when it looked like Nigel was hurt, consistent rabbit punches from Benn and the long count when he was knocked out of the ring. Nigel diving head first at McClennan a couple of times was a little weird, too. It was an all-round good example of favouring a home guy and giving the away fighter no favours at all, throughout. But a great win for Benn, it wasn't his fault the referee was sh*t.

Eubank-Sherry - Come on guys, I remember watching this fight just hoping there were no Canadians watching it, it was a horribly dodgy end.

I'm not saying British boxing is corrupt at all, because there aren't 2 fights a week that an away fighter gets screwed. But occasionally you see things that favour our guys, same as in Germany. I'm just tired of hearing "robbery" when a Brit loses over there. :tired

You get 20 seconds to recover if you go through the ropes, how did Benn get a long count?

As for Betty, you're an idiot. You really think Lazcano and Tszyu got shafted? :rofl:rofl:rofl

he was actually right on the other parts though. The ref was French I think but that alone does not rule out home bias. Admittedly in that high profile fight maybe it was just a case of an inept ref. What the **** was he doing reffing that fight though?

as for the 2 Hatton fights....getting shafted is not just talking about how judges score a fight. There are many ways of being on the wrong end of home cooking. Start arguing once your brain has developed a little more dummy.

I'm sure the Yankie commentators were moaning about it being a long count, but if it wasn't that's something that pisses me off about all this...

You watch American broadcasts of fights in Britain and they virtually always have something to moan about; premature stoppages, illegal punches, referee's being too involved, not involved enough...
You watch British broadcasts of fights in Germany... always something wrong, it's just never good enough for them.

Just let countrys get on with their boxing and stop pretending you're better then everybody else.

I think Khan not getting a point deducted and Kristijansen not getting a longer break after Khan hit him when he was on the floor was a joke, quite clearly foul play that went off with just a ticking off, anywhere else he would have had a point off or maybe even a DQ.

Although Kristijansen was a few levels below so irrelevenat but when Khan fights in the USA he cant complain if refs take it more stricter with him.

How was Lazcano on the wrong end of home cooking?

Fighting once a year due to constant injuries.Tells the media is is ready to retire after Mitchell fight.Warren **** scared of losing Hatton offers mega money to Kostya.Kostya does a bit of training and comes back for the fight.

Was Kostya really prime when he fought Hatton ? :nut

You carry on believing he was and I will think otherwise. I bet you also believe that Buster Douglas beat prime Tyson :yep
