Congratulations on your ko victory over that menacing-looking strawman.

Of course, not once have I said that Tszyu was prime when he faced Hatton.... :patsch

from what i remember of the brodie chi fight(first one), it was incredibly close, and the scoring change was due to the fact that one of the judges wrongly thought brodie had been docked a point by the ref in one of the rounds and that only became apparent after brodies people had looked at the cards after the fight was over and chi had been announced winner.

harrison polo fight was a robbery. Polo clearly won that by 4 or 5 rounds at least.

Why do I get the feeling the whole (pretty transparent) purpose of this thread is to have another not-so-subtle dig at Ricky Hatton?

Because the author whilst normally a good laugh and a pretty safe lad is so ****ing predictable and obsessed with Hatton that if you had only been on the site for a few months and/or had only read what he writes in the boxing sections you would think...

    "What a boring ****".

    never happened.

he fell to the outside part of the ring and some people put their hands out in order to keep him off any of the equipment. any touching of benn would have been fingertip stuff, he wasn't close enough for them to be able to actually push a 12 stone man back into the ring.

an awful lot of **** is talked about this fight that never actually occured.

On the Brodie v Chi fight , errors in scoring are frequently found after the fight and there are numerous high profile cases . Considering how close the fight was it is not surprising it was called a draw , infact that was the most just result .

Lets not forget if not for a stupid WBC rule(where if an accidental headclash occurs and a fighter is cut the other fighter gets deducted a point) Brodie would have won .

Very true, the only bad hometown incident was when Benn got back into the ring and the ref gave him an extra 2 seconds or so to recover by pushing them apart and then giving some bull**** instruction to McClellan.

Everytime he split them, he would push them further apart again and give an instruction to buy Benn a second or two.
However he only did that about 3 times and then refereed properly...and we are talking home town bias, not blatant cheating. Not taking away points for nothing...

Benn got back into the ring after 9 seconds too and in the rules has a 20 count to be back in the ring, on his feet and ready to fight. So gaining 2 seconds more before G Man was waved back in is not a massive issue.

Totally incomparable to what has been happening in Germany. Eddie Cotton was biased as **** in the Lewis-Tyson fight, awful reffing, as was Cortez in Hatton-PBF but neither actually cheated.

Neither looked like they had been paid off and the same goes for Paris (I think it was) in the Benn-McClellan fight. He was clearly bias in the 1st round...but was fine for the rest of the fight.

Good call. Chi Brodie was certainly a travesty. But at least Chi rectified that with the rematch. Just a bit of a shame for Brodie as he could never make that leap into real world class. Yuri Tsarenko vs Lockett was "almost" a robbery. The scores were a sham and not an indication at all of the real beating that Gary took.

In British fights the robberies are usually a case of ludicrously early stoppages instead of bad scorecards.
