Let's not forget that IF this is true there is a fair chance Ortiz sparks out Wilder, simply because Wilder has fought such weak opposition to date that we don't know how good he is yet.

Kudo's for finally taking a chance Wilder!!!

    Took him long enough, lol

    Allegedly.

Wouldn't believe that for a minute though.

I think you will find his birth certificate is as genuine as Nigerian footballer from 10 or 20 years ago.

If he is genuinely within 10 years of his advertised age I would be shocked.

He isn't. He himself said he fought Pernell Whitaker in the am's back in the 1980s, that makes him late forties now.

And to be honest he looks like he's in his late forties.

This is not to discredit Wilder, just stating what I believe to be facts. Ortiz is still a very good fighters, and I also believe Wilder wants to fight Joshua afterwards.

Well thats the thing, if Ortiz plays it safe he might get KTFO late in the fight, and who says he'll win a decision.

I see both of them wanting to impose their styles early in the fight, and from out of nowhere a war erupts. Whoever lands the big punch first will win. I dont see this going past 6.

I don't care how old Ortiz looks, his Win and performance over Jennings is more impressive than anything Wilder or Parker (which is 2 out of 3 titlist) have ever done. Besides that, I've been quoted saying I'd pick Ortiz over Wilder and I'll be sticking to it. I'm gonna back Ortiz to Win.

So yes, if Wilder takes this fight voluntarily, he'll get full credit from me. Hearn does his best to not mention Ortiz' name while talking about Pulev mandatory all the time for a reason.

I think Wilder will be cautious a la Stiverne for most of the fight, taking the fight into the middle / latter rounds.

I agree that whoever lands the big punch first will win, I favour Wilder to land it due to his athleticism.

I don't think the rumours about Ortiz fighting Sweet Pea is really true.

If this is true you then props to Wilder! That's all we wanted to see.. him fight someone who isn't a bum.. but i'm
Skeptical... I'll believe it when its official. Ortiz just the other day said he wants AJ next and there's reports saying Wilder will fight Breazeale next.

Why not? He said he did, I guess it could just be a fairy tale or hype, but Ortiz looks like 47 to me. And why would Ortiz lie?
