There are a lot of parallels between these 3. Style, physical frame, power and the fact that I and many others have counted them out from the very moment they burst on to the scene...

Jarrell Miller - I was skeptical the moment he started making waves as Heavyweight prospect among hardcore observers of the division... It was hard to shake off the memory of him being old manned by an ancient Cro Cop twice in kickboxing(Cro cop actually got the better of the boxing exchanges and was able to tie up and nullify the larger Miller on the inside very easily) Well I started to eat my words when he picked up devastating and solid wins against fellow prospects/fringe contenders in Muralimov, Dennis and Kassi.. It's clear now that despite his crudeness Miller brings something to the table with his relentless pressure, power and toughness.

Lucas Browne - Like Miller I was skeptical of the big lumbering oaf... To me he was just a glorified bouncer with a punch and some grit... He was after all, a convert to boxing from MMA and an ex-bouncer outside of the boxing ring. Browne seemed to have a questionable chin, incredibly slow and one paced, and was able to be outboxed by domestic opposition like Bahoeli only for his power and grit to bail him out... But after wins against Rudenko and Chagaev it became hard to deny that many of us had underestimated him... Browne like Miller is able to make up for his extreme crudeness by grinding his opponents down with relentless pressure and sheer toughness, with his iron fists being the cherry on top.

Adam Kownacki - Well... until the shocking upset against Szpilka I considered Kownacki a complete joke and not in the same mold as Miller and Browne... But now it's fairly evident with the shared physical frame, crudeness, but toughness, relentless pressure and POWER that he is in the same mold as those two. Of the 3 he probably has the best scalp and most dominant performance....

Don't think any of these guys will go on to be world champions or top 10 fighters, but there's some solid fights to be made(between them would be awesome) and I think they're all a nightmare for any prospect or untested contender out there.

He is a poor mans Golota. If he can stay in shape and work on his head movement and jab he could be a risky fight for anyone. He is a pressure fighter with heavy hands that could even be a threat to Joshua. Kownacki has serious power but he takes to many hits. If he has a chin and skin that does not cut so damn easy like Wlad he could will a belt.

Kownacki will definitely be a top 10 fighter if he isn't already and could win a world title against a guy like Wilder or Parker easily.

I've always had a sneaking suspicion Browne had more to offer, I saw something special in him, I wasn't all that convinced Miller could be something, but his last few performances has change my way of thinking on him. As far as Kownacki goes, I've yet to be impressed, and I still wasn't the other day, I think Szpilka was rusty, his timing was off and he didn't hit hard enough to get Kownacki's respect, so he bulldozed him, I need to see more before proclaiming him anything special.

Yeah, all three are written off as lacking in elite skills, and rightfully so (they are), but they also have the common denominator of being skilled enough within the context of heavyweight boxing that using their brawn combined with the bit of craft they've been able to master is enough to be effective in the division.

...up to a point, that is. None of them do anything except get knocked silly by a top 5 heavy (Joshua, Parker, old man Steelhammer, Povetkin, Ortiz, and even Wilder) but anyone else? Yeah, they're in with a shot to maul 'em. If he had heavier hands I'd put Breazeale in this group, too.

Nah, disagree with you here Farmy, Browne and Miller would probably utterly destroy Adam.

was Rocky Marciano 'lacking in elite skills' too lol

There's more to boxing than just skills..

Kownacki is gonna be a player in this division I'm sure of it. He's definitely gonna be a top 5- top 10 heavyweight. and good chance he KO's a guy like Wilder.

Well...yeah. This division is different from the rest. That's why I left the caveat that within the context of heavyweight boxing, they were skilled enough to, combined with their size & raw strength, be effective.

Also, no, he wasn't. Rocky would literally box circles around these goons.
