Crawford and Postol fight for the lineal JWW title. Crawford wins and now he is the lineal JWW champion yet Indongo has two of those belts. They will fight for the undisputed JWW title of the world in August. My question is if Joshua and Wlad were supposedly 1 & 2 like the Brits and others have said, how come they didn't crown Joshua the lineal hvw champion of the world? I'm just asking a question. Might even be a dumb question but I had to ask. Lol
I think the biggest reason is the continuous question marks over Fury's future, some media rankings (TBRB and Boxrec) have struck him from their ladder, others (The Ring) still have him as Champion. Another big reason is the fact that Joshua's ranking before the Klitschko win wasn't universally agreed upon, nobody could say with any certainty that he was the #1 contender. If you asked for my top 5 (assuming Fury was retired for argument's sake) before the Klitschko fight it probably would have been something like #1 - Wlad, #2 - Ortiz, #3 - Povetkin, #4 - Joshua, #5 - Wilder.
He's not a champion anymore. He's a disgrace. He's only the last lineal champion. The titles are fractured now.
Crawford is the house fighter and Indongo is the dog being thrown under the bus, the fight is a set-up for Crawford in his home town with his judges, referee and boxing commission. Indongo can't fight at all, but there still should be a level playing field.............
Fury should've been dropped due to all the BS surrounding him. He shouldn't be re-considered until he returns.
