Boxers like Mike Tyson, David Tua, Canelo, Anthony Yarde to name a few are pretty huge, and lifters would be proud of looking that big after solely lifting and building muscle for 20 years.

On the other hand, boxers like thomas hearns, diego corrales are really skinny.

What makes some boxers huge despite doing all this cardio, while other boxers are skinny and tall. Isnt boxing only supposed to build a little bit of muscle?

Genetics. Tyson in particular. The dude was big even as a kid. Tua wasn't that ripped but he was Samoan. Those people tend to have bigger frames and thicker bones allowing for a natural tendency to be "big".

The rest are probably on roids.

Yes, but still theres only so much muscle you can build doing cardio (boxing). Mike Tyson at 15 looked built more than most men, who may have good genetics and dedicate all their training to building muscle.

I have big frame and when not boxing i gain muscle pretty quick but if i were to try to put on muscle while boxing 5x a week it is very hard. From boxing alone i wouldnt gain a thing.

Believe it or not Tyson and Tua actually cut weight in preparation for fights.

You'd be surprised the transformation your body will go through if your in a good training camp for a few years.

I used to do bodybuilding/powerlifting, was a waste of effing time. I feel stronger, faster, more agile, durable, greater endurance than I ever did from bench pressing or doing squats. That's why fighting people with big muscles is a lot of fun cause they gas out just trying to land their best Sunday punch.
