The team who complain & cry that other fighters look past them already planning their first defence. Biggest hypocrites in the game.

'Only a coward would pull out of a fight with an injury, I'd fight with a broken arm, broken leg etc' not a twisted ankle though, but it's fine to go on the **** and jump around on it a week later.

If Fury beats Parker, and Haye beats Fury then he gets a trinket to use as a bargaining chip to fight Joshua for four to five times the amount he would have pocketed in a Bellew rematch. He's putting all his eggs in one basket with this move but if it pays off, it really pays off. It's not like Fury/Haye won't sell either, it may not be as lucrative as a Bellew rematch but with a title on the line between two British HWs, both of which are gobshites it will still make money, especially considering the bad blood between Haye and Tyson.

Not sure how this fantasy fight (that isn't going to happen anyway) shafts matchroom.

It's probably Tyson Fury v David Haye, not Hughie.

I favor Parker as well, and I even want Parker to win.

But Parker looked terrible against Cojanu and Ruiz, two terrible opponents.

I don't think this is a sure thing at all. And I think Parker will have massive problems against a tall and mobile boxer like Hughie.

Anyone else surprised they didn't just do the deal behind closed doors and keep it in their hat until after the Parker/fury fight...

I don't see the benefit of announcing this move now.

Yeah I don't get this either. Announcing it now just gives Matchroom and Bellew something to shun Haye with in the event of Parker winning. If this works out it will be a genius move on Haye's part, if it doesn't he's pretty much blown the chance of a Bellew payday. Really, really, really looking forward to Parker/Fury now. I was mostly indifferent to it when comparing it to some of the other great fights we'll see in September but given the further ramifications that the outcome could have on the rest of the heavyweight division I'm quite stoked.

Plus I really dislike how full of himself Bellew has gotten and to see him in a war with Whyte after all of his better options have fallen through would be golden.

Anyone else get sick of hearing about David Haye fighting again? Or the talk of Bellew boxing other heavyweights like he is genuinely up there with them?

Agree, there is self promotion and there is delusion... I like bellew and been to a couple of his fights including Goodison (great day/night) but since this fight I am getting abit tired of hearing him say he beat the boogeyman of the heavy weight division, he is the second best heavyweight blah blah blah etc... without the clear and obvious injury maybe but come on.

That's why I want the rematch either bellew wins again or Haye wipes the floor with him as he should of.

    How is Matchroom shafted?

If Parker wins he will fight Bellew or AJ, they never had negotiations with Hughie Fury. Not sure how this shafts Matchroom in any way at all.
