Frank Warren has been completely embarrassing today, talking about Yarde is higher rated in the world than Buglioni and Burton when we all know thats coz he fought a "hungarian heating engineer" for some random trinket, belittling Burtons career, forgetting Dubois' name was quite amusing as well, talking about paying other stables fighters their biggest purses when he can't even do that for his won fighters, saying Burton is a step back from Baranyi, and he's ruining the reputation of one of our brightest prospects. i think if this carries on or FW doesn't pull something out the bag for Yarde, he should look at moving elsewhere
For sure Yarde is very marketable and sky would do a much better job with him. That being said British boxing needs boxnation and other competition to stop sky dominating which normally leads to lazy matchmaking. Everything about Franks shows screams old school and that's all good but it's affecting his fighters. Maybe he should have more of an overlooking role at the company and put some young blood at the reigns. Big respect to Frank though he's done a lot of British boxing.

Styles make fights and yarde vs burton is a classic case Warren is just too butt hurt to let his man go over and fight on sky is what it boils down too
It's to the detriment of his fighter definitely. Yarde could go over and fight on Sky against Burton, win and look good and raise his profile which would only help promote BoxNation/BT Sport's boxing offering.

exactly this, if they're so confident in yarde beating burton, take the six figure pay day go and beat burton on sky, get a load of publicity and come back to BT with a better profile and a decent name on the record. Because one fight against burton on sky is better promoting than all his fights against bin men on BT
Why do people think Hearn would break the bank to put Yarde vs Burton on sky? It isn't a PPV fight lol, that's the only time Hearn would splash out. Think BT would have more at stake and would put more in, I don't think they fancy that Burton fight at all that's why they don't want none. Frank was saying they would splash out for Buglioni, I don't see why they can't for Burton and Hearn wouldnt IMO
I don't really understand why some people are trying to push the Yarde-Burton fight. Burton was knocked out in his last fight. Yarde wants the WINNER. It just makes sense. On top of that Buglioni called Yarde out. And both promoters are offering decent money for this fight. Yet somehow its Yarde who's the problem here....I think Buglioni needs to step up or shut up
1) Burton was winning the fight comfortably on the cards up til the 12th round. Stop buying into Warrens disrespect of burton & actually watch the fight2) you earn the right to fight for it, not beat some bin man and expect it. 3) how can Buglioni step up to it with a mandatory? The board ordered the final eliminator between burton yarde. Buglinio Just responded to call outs by yarde saying after his mandatory he can get a shot. Burton will b by a mile yarde best opponent to date sud he take the fight. But the reality is another import brought over to fight for wbo European title
The fight was probably in need of an immediate rematch. Can definitely see why Burton is getting another opportunity so quickly and like you say Yarde hasn't actually earned a direct shot. Stylistically Burton is a much harder fight for Yarde, he's so long and more defensively aware than Buglioni. Burton has good skills. Buglioni has more power and better stamina but he's too easy to hit. Yarde will just unload on him. Not saying Buglioni has no chance but I do think Yarde hits like a truck. Personally would make Yarde a favourite over both, but think they both are very live underdogs. Why can't we have both fights? Yarde seems scared to take on Burton.
What I don't understand is that Warren seems to be placing all his attention and efforts on Yarde & Dubois, just imagine if either one gets stopped early on......who else has he got? That's why I think he will make Yarde duck Burton as it's not a big enough fight to risk him with.
