Nah, you just need to know the sport. Go watch mma if you want to watch sports that are younger than you are and have no history.

good points. upon further reflection, mikey is pretty unique in his combination of style, temperament, and physical attributes. hes creating a new mold.

I don't see that at all.. Sanchez was more volume, worked the body a lot more, was always bouncing on the balls of his feet.. loved his double left to the liver, or the left to the liver, then left uppercut.. maybe your just seeing the the great one two that they both have, but Sanchez was a lot more fluid with is punches..

That's because there is nothing similar about them. Two totally different styles. Sanchez was more mobile and his punch selection was different. The only similarities are that they are both Mexican.

When I first saw Garcia I got the impression of a person more suited to be working behind a desk than one who should aspire to be a boxer. His physical type is definitely not athletic. In fact, he looks rather frail. So one would imagine that his accomplishments are totally the result of extremely hard work more than they are based on natural athleticism or talent.

On the other hand appearances can be deceiving. Some persons don't show outward physical strength and then you find that they are abnormally strong due to some quirk hereditary trait that does not outwardly show.

I once saw this 75 year old former strongman lift an enormously heavy weight via a harness fitted over his shoulders 75 times to celebrate his birthday. His physique displayed no indication being capable of it.

    BTW
Two younger weight lifters whose physiques indicated power attempted it and failed. In fact, the chain even broke when one attempted it by yanking violently to get it at least off the ground.

    WEIRD!

More similar to Alexis Arguello but with better defensive skills such as lateral movement.

I was trying to think of a fighter to compare him with and Alexis is a very good candidate.
