I like Charlo and I think he got jerked for an opportunity to show off his skills. But any eye test based off last night should be disregarded. Can just say he was professional and that's it. Last night was like Rios v Alvarado 3.

Charlo is the clear best fighter on that card. Too bad his opponent was too injured to take the true beading that was inevitable to come

Nether got gifts vs trout, you clowns.
It's like if you're a star and don't destroy your opponent by the 4th round you lost, wtf

There was a reason why Charlo wasn't celebrating very much following his fight with Heiland. He knew what was up, and that people wouldn't be talking in really glowing terms of him due to the injury. That said, he's a very nice addition at middleweight and I would pick him quite confidently against most of the contenders in the division at the moment.

Mikey is better than Charlo. I give Charlo a good shot against GGG/Canelo but I think Mikey is on that Crawford/Lomachenko level. Maybe a step lower but close.

Charlo is in the mix now without a doubt... But certainly not next in line. A way to leapfrog everyone and pretty much guarantee a shot within the next 12 months or so would be by fighting and beating Jacobs. Does he want to take that risk, does Jacobs? I think both guys would be down.

I think Charlo gives anyone he faces a tough fight. That easily includes GGG and Canelo. Either fight, IMO, could go either way. I have thought that the last couple of times I saw him. Once GGG/Canelo is settled we will see if anyone runs and hides. I think Charlo is to MW what Crawford will be in WW- when you look at their reach, height, and pop. I do not see Jacobs or Canelo stepping up to that challenge. We'll see if Golovkin does.

Jacobs vs Charlo would be a great fight. Charlo would have to put his defense on display as he's never faced such a puncher. Jacobs would have to guard that chin of his as well.

No, it's like if you're a star and the match is ridiculously close, when the opponent that's supposed to lose ends up outworking and outfoxing the star, the opponent loses on the cards because they don't want the star to have a 0 on his record. Trout beat Canelo by a round, he beat Charlo by a round, at the very least the matches should have been draws, also when your favorites are involved, you clearly can't score properly.

I'm sure all of these posters weren't biased against Canelo.

I had it 114-113 Trout as well.

Heiland should not have been in the ring last saturday - he had a serious injury.

Charlo is looking promising, but he has still long way to go against elite fighters. Golovkin would f.. him up at this point of their respective careers.

If Charlo wants to make a name for himself, he should fight someone top 5 MW like Lemieux or Jacobs before braging. Even Monroe jr would be a step up at 160 :D

I'm still raging at Jermello for ducking Boo Boo. He couldn't run up to 160 any faster when he got word that Boo Boo was coming for his ass. The guy's a scumbag. He left his little brother down at 154 all on his own to deal with Boo Boo. What kind of POS would do something like that to their own little brother? Their own flesh and blood? That's like bolting out of the backdoor when an intruder breaks into your house and leaving your wife and kids all alone at their mercy.

Shaking in their boots? Highly doubtful. Would love these matchups, but lets not act like Charlo devastated a high calibre fight just now. I give Charlo a better shot at the shorter Canelo then I do him defeating 3G.

It really did though. I mean the guy couldn't even stand right, how do you expect him to fight at his best. Now that being said, Charlo did look great in the fight. He needs to hold off on the I'm not respected enough yet **** though. He won a world title sure, but in todays state of boxing who the hell can't.
