Saw him interviewed the other night and all he could talk about was being the next ppv star. Thinks he is Floyd already just like Broner did. Dude can barely talk so I don't know how he expects to be some kind of ppv star and drawing card. Like that will ever happen. Dude can fight though but that isn't enough. Looks, charmisa, charm help and he has none

 

All well and good if he wasn't a champion. But if he's a champ these are bs excuses and he should simply be targeting the best in the division. Face Loma, lose, then he can be this contender looking to prove himself you describe him as.

When he won the title he was the youngest.

 

Some fighters and promoters are born with nuts and some are not. Mayweather and Davis don't have nuts. Guys like Hearns and Steward do have nuts. When Hearns was 22 years old he fought Ray Leonard, you know the boxing god named Sugar Ray Leonard.

 

Fighters generally improve by taking losses early in their career. Him being 22 means he should be fighting the best. There is a lot to learn from taking a loss from a guy like a prime Lomachenko.

 

SRL was also a big money fight for Hearns. Loma isn't a big money fight for Davis. The money has a lot to do with it. If Loma offered them a big money fight like for example Garcia would then they would fight him.

 

Hearns at that point didn't even know how to clinch. He pretty much didn't even know how to defend himself either. Why? Because he was the guy who was always doing the hurting. He'd never been hurt before. He'd always been hurting the other guy.

It comes down to some guys take fights that they will probably/could lose and some want to stay undefeated.

 

Naoya Inoue is a current champion who won the title when he was 19, in his 5th pro fight. So, it's not an accolate very true to reality.
Gervonta doesn't have the heart of a real man, Naoya Inoue does.

 

If Davis doesn't want to fight Loma then he should vacate his belt. When you're a champion your goal should be to defend it against the best.
