And we get to see all that brutal fun again early September I believe. Gonzalez is going to want to make damn sure this time, so should be quality.

A lot of high-level, dramatic matches but Joshua-Klitschko and Gonzalez-Rungvisai stand out as the real fight of the year contenders. I think pure boxing matches should be considered more as foty, Ward-Kovalev 1 for its boxing class was my choice last year, but a Brook-Spence didn't quite have the pace, intensity, and drama to deserve consideration, and Davis-Pedraza was simply too one-sided.

Joshua-Klitschko has to get the nod, with the knockdowns, power, swings in momentum, and of course its significance as a massive, international event.

Khytrov-Aleem was wild and gets my honourable mention. GGG-Jacobs for the top-class skill of both and back and forth action is up there too.

Joshua vs Klitschko you don't even have to think about it. The fight actually exceeded the expectation and the hype when did you last see that happen?

One that anyone with half a sense knew was going to be utter **** going in...

@TheyDontBoxNoMore7 argued that it was a better card on paper than Golovkin/Jacobs and more appealing to the hardcore fan. LOL!

i liked Joshua-Klitschko and Lemieux-Stevens the most. The competitiveness with the uncertainty of who was going to get knocked out but knowing it was coming, was enjoyable.
