He's currently ranked #4 in the WBO where Zurdo has a belt so maybe Gilberto Ramirez has accepted the fight?
It would have to be Degale? Zurdo is fighting Jesse Hart I like the fight for Degale but it's not a big money fight and could be considered risky. Put those two together and it can't be a world title, unless its WBF vs Renold Quinlan, (which I fancy big Ren to win lol)
Korobov deserves a title shot, he is one of the best amateur boxers ever, he has wins over Usyk, Derevyanchenko, Sillah, Despaigne, Alfonso Blanco, Emilio Correa... He got mismanaged in the pro game. However he achieved a good win against previously undefeated Uzcategui, then he got knocked out by Andy Lee in a fight he was clearly winning and for me it was a premature stopagge. At the age of 34 is now or never for him to win a world title
Oh you know what I just realized. There is a vacant belt at 168 because Jack moved up. Korobov isn't ranked in the WBC but DeGale is injured right now so that is the only thing that makes sense unless he isn't fighting for a world title.
He will announce a promotional deal and maybe title fight. Prior the World boxing Super series he said that if he wouldn't get the spot in Super series than he would sign a new promotional agreement.
Not sure he's deserving of one since his loss, would like to see him fight another contender at least. But he has been badly managed, wasted talent at this stage for sure.
