He went out on his shield In a great fight. You are a very biased, classless and deluded individual. The Klitschkos made a complete fool out of you for years.

Isolating his boxing career I would say HOF or maybe ATG and he deserves respect for that. But I never liked him as a guy. Seems to have a dodgy military background and a bit of a "too nice" persona about him. I always have a nagging speculation that he got his dream of being heavyweight as a reward for shady special forces work.

When did i say it wasn't a great fight? Putting words in my mouth again?

Unfortunately Wlad was never a class act in the ring where it actually mattered.

Good for Wlad. Great ATG level career, great human being, great ambassador for our sport. History will judge him kindly, the rose-colored glasses will start to be used in a couple years when people realize boxers of Wlad's pedigree only come along once every 20-25 years.

A bit annoyed he's retiring on a loss when it was so close to being a win but I guess he knows best. Thanks for being such a gent and ambassador for the sport. Know way will anyone else repeat his reign anytime soon.

In a way Joshua has already surpassed his reign. Only took AJ 3 years and 17 fights to beat the #1 HW in the world.

It took Wlad TEN years before he fought the #1 ranked HW and that was Chris Byrd who was a non factor during the Lewis era

You can't change the fact that his era was extremely weak.

i'm glad he had made this decision. He has so much he can do beyond boxing and is best to leave with his health intact. I don't think he would have beaten AJ in the rematch as AJ will keep improving and will have learnt so much from the last fight. I would have quite like to see Wlad smack Wilder about but no way that fight was ever going to happen.

What a career and what a gentleman. A great ambassador for the sport and hope he stays in boxing in some way.

Wait. You're saying at 41 Klitschko was the #1 ranked heavyweight in the world? Or are you talking about someone else?
