I thought this was the case with the WBO because of Liam Smith having that 4 rounder in Spain before the Williams fight, but this weekend Lomachenko is defending his title against Marriaga, who lost his lost fight. Dont suppose anyone knows why its ok for this fight?

I guess it is because it is a different weight division to his last fight, and the rankings and rules are specific to each division?

I think it was more a case of Haye embarressed himself, certainly after the fight.

But, is there REALLY any disgrace in going the distance with a prime Wlad?

You can't say just because Haye didn't beat Wlad he can not beat AJ. Horses for courses.

I remember Haye having a rant last time about how he will take down matchroom bla bla bla. Right now Haye cant beat AJ. This is a guy with a broken body which lets him down time and time again. AJ would take Haye out!!

Very embarrassing for Haye if true, he needs to at least attempt to avenge this loss if he has any aspirations of going further again at HW.

I'm pretty sure Haye is done as a serious contender at HW, although Bellew is a world class Cruiser if you can't beat him at HW then you are not beating AJ/Fury etc...

Well that's Tony humped then. I kinda of like the guy and find him funny (in small doses) but being realistic he's barely a top 10 CW and has got lucky. He's got ok power and ok movement but very little variety skill wise. If he wants decent money Haye is the only fight.

I really wish he would fight Wilder. If Wilder ko's Bellew (as he should do) it may shut him up for at least a while. If Bellew wins Deonkay will be humiliated and hopefully sod off from the HW scene for good and maybe even close his twitter account.

Would love to know the specific's i why its fallen down... I think its the right fight for both personally.

Personally, i still see Haye as the A side dispite of the loss to be honest but think a deal of 50/50 would be common sense all things considering.

Yeah he did have a rant at Eddie Hearn, was quite funny.

If Haye is near 100% fit, if he is on form, if he gets his timing back with his punches, if he still has his speed; all big ifs I know... then he could just as easily take out AJ. In fact I think I'd have Haye as slight favourite when they are both at their best.

But Haye isn't getting any younger, and AJ is likely only to get better, so he needs that fight within a year to 18 months really to give himself a decent shot.

And I think after the Bellew debacle he might just throw the shackles off if he got that fight, so it would hopefully make for a classic ding dong. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to see that fight.
