Totally agree, just hyping up a nothing fight. Makes no sense at all. Cortez in full referee gear for a spar, McGregor pulling in a retired boxer for sparring who is heavily involved in the promotion of the fight as he is on the PPV commentary, then a hugely publicized fall out? Complete b***ocks IMO

 

If I were in Paulies situation I would publicly discredit the photos as he's done, then I would return to McGregors camp and work him over at least "one more time". But this situation makes you think perhaps Paulie was looking for a way out due to Conor's ferocity.

 

Malignaggi already has millions in his pocket, he doesn't need sparring partner money really.
I'm pretty sure Paulie is going to tell Floyd the main 'threats' Conor poses.

 

As you stated above Paulie "has millions in his pocket" then why would he subject himself to daily beatings? I think he would of stuck around if he were getting the better of the sessions. I'm sure he can negotiate a substantial amount of money for disclosure of Conor's strategies/tendencies etc.

 

Wise how though?

Everything is a publicity ploy to some of you.The most simplistic line of reasoning. Your boxing egos are delicate and they influence you terribly.Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed boxing long before mma came along. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate both.

 

I appreciate both, and this fight is a farce. That is the most staged picture I have ever seen. Cortez in full refereeing gear for a spar? McGregor calling in a retired boxer who is heavily involved in the process as a pundit, and as such the promotion of the fight? Then to end it all a big public spat? Cheap promotion
