    My thoughts:
    - Mikey looks a lot bigger than Loma!
    - To me it is clear that the promoters are the obstacle to the fight happening. Both fighters are ready to fight.
    - I think the style matchup is good for Loma, I still lean towards him, but Mikey's size and power, coupled with elite skill, is a real threat.

They can agree all they want but Arum will have no parts of it.

Would love to see this, IMO Mickey is too big and will catch Loma sooner or later. Bob will never let it happen.

Hell of a fight, hope it gets finalized. Both genuine HOF talents in their prime in my book

Just like how Bob protected Manny from Roidquez, Nonito from Rigo, and Chavez Jr. from Sergio? All three guys were 10X more marketable than Loma (as of Loma's current marketability). Pac is, at this point, still 50X more marketable than Loma.

The story on Manny/JMM can not be told without mentioning JMM begging for the fights constantly and the rivalry being spaced out much longer than it should have been.

Some folks out there say he did milk Nonito away from Rigo for a couple fights. I don't view it that way, but many do.

Chavez fighting Sergio was giving Chavez the chance to become legit with losing doing little negative for him.

EDIT: Arum holds grudges. Mikey left Top Rank then sued them. Arum won't forget or forgive.

This runs a little bit deeper than that. Bob will not put his man, who although is not a star yet, is building alot of steam, against a man who sued him and who is very dangerous

Arum is ready to block this fight. Mikey is ready to DEMAND Showtime. Mikey will be seen by some as partially to blame, but in a way I kind of excuse him because he doesn't need to bend to Arum's will, Arum robbed Mikey of 2.5 prime years.

Well there's also the fact that Manny Pacquiao probably have more nuts than anybody else in boxing at that time besides maybe Erik Morales. Who else after the defining moment of their ATG career would immediately take a voluntary defense against a prime, largely unknown JMM? That would be Pacquiao. Pac is a ****ing legend and he just had nuts of steel. That's why the fight happened.

Why are you defending Arum? He did Pac no favors and screwed at the end of his career.

I pick Loma. I think stylistically he is all wrong for Mikey. Garcia is just so orthodox and that plays into Loma's hands.

I hate Bob Arum (most promoters, actually), but some of the accusations simply aren't true.

Like the circus w/ Rigo. Rigo was given a spot on 3 Pacquiao undercards and then he headlined w/ Donaire and then headlined against Agbeko. I was at the Agbeko fight and I swear on my life that people started leaving in droves by round 4. That's because Rigo stunk out the joint against an opponent that was TERRIFIED of him.

ANY fighter seeking to gain exposure, public interest, and fans would kill for such opportunities. Rigo simply has no ground on which to stand when he claims Arum was unfair to him or treated him differently on race (see Lomachenko comments).

Arum hasn't protected any TR fighters and he's demonstrated that he WILL work w/ other promoters/managers. They tried to get Broner, Garcia, and Khan, remember? Broner and Garcia both ducked Pac.
