How is the most important element of a training camp pointless?

Mayweather was beaten several times in sparring but never in a professional fight that's a good example hope you get what I'm trying to say

Okay I get you, getting worked in sparring isn't indicative of not being able to perform in the fight.

Getting worked in sparring is where you are supposed to be getting worked so you correct mistakes and holes. In sparring in training the purpose is to correct deficiencies and improve them. (Hence the term "training" camp) Getting caught in sparring and training is good because now you know where you need to work on, and where your mistakes were, holes in defense can be addressed by your team/trainer.

I love Mayweather... Been watching him since 97.... But his money gimmick is getting so boring now. I love his skills in the ring and everything but I'm tired of him now.

And how is McGregor's act any more palletable?

It's not necessarily more palatable but he has natural charisma and usually has something different to say at every event. He hasn't got stale yet ... but he's still going to get humiliated.

Good thing this is his last fight huh? It lasted the whole second half of his career and he don't need to do it anymore...lol

Maybe it's his limited expression repertoire and his less than enthusiastic facial expression which conveys an intense inner dislike to what he's presently doing.. Reminds me of the film Requiem for a Heavyweight starring Anthony Quinn who played the part of a HW boxer named Mountain Montana. Montana was asked to dress up as an American Indian chief and to wrestle in order to make some money for his manager who was seriously in debt. Montana found all the clowning involved extremely offensive. That's the impression I get from Floyd despite all his loud talking.

And to be fair, Floyd is going to make an obscene amount of money for the easiest fight of his career. He can do his usual thing, then cash the cheque.

Mayweather never had any charisma. He's cringeworthy.
